PPV: Over the Edge Results: 05/23/99

~TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH~
*KANE & X-PAC vs. D'LO BROWN & MARK HENRY:
Xpac did a belly to back suplex on Dlo followed by a spinning heel kick. When Dlo tagged Mark Henry in, Xpac decided to tag Kane in. Kane starts choking Henry.Henry splashed Kane then backed him into the corner with punches.
Henry press slams Kane but Kane gets back up and clothelines him. Kane did a drop kick on Henry! Dlo tagged in and crowd chants Dlo sucks. Kane picks up Dlo in the air and chokes him. Xpac tagged in. Dlo did the snap leg drop on Xpac. Mark Henry drops Xpac over the security rail neck first. Dlo did a running powerbomb on Xpac but Kane made the save. Kane and Henry tagged in at same time. Kane body slams Henry. Xpac dove out of the ring onto Henry but Henry caught him and rammed him into the steel post. Dlo did a spinning heel kick on Kane. Kane dove off the top turnbuckle onto Henry and Dlo to save Xpac who was getting double teamed. Kane came off the top rope and clotheslined Henry, Dlo made the save. Xpac did the bronco buster on Dlo. Kane chokeslammed Henry and got the 3 count. Winners and still tag champs: Xpac and Kane.
~HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH~
*HARDCORE HOLLY vs. AL SNOW:
The match started right away with Al swinging Pierre,which is corroded and rotting, at Holly. Holly dropped Al neck first over the security rail. Al threw Holly into the steel steps. Holly hit Al in the head a couple of times with a cookie sheet. Al sprayed Holly in the face with a fire extinguisher. Al and Holly make their way into the crowd fighting while walking up the steps. Al & Holly are now out in the lobby area fighting. Al threw a coke in Holly's eyes. Al got his head slammed into a funnel cake. Al and Holly make their way back into the arena and Al hits Holly with some cotton candy bags. Al brought a table in the ring and set it up in the corner. Al hits Holly in the stomach with a chair. Holly puts a ddt on Al on a chair. Al powerbombed Holly right through the table and got the 3 count. Winner and still hardcore champ: Al Snow.
*After match 2 they did some promos then after that they were supposed to start match 3 but JR said something seriously wrong has happened. He said Owen(Blue Blazer) was supposed to come down from the ceiling for his entrance.He said apparently the harness or something broke and i guess Owen fell to the mat or wherever.JR said this was as real as real can be.I dont know if its a work or not cause they never did show it actually happen.JR just said that they werent going to put it on television because of the serious matter that it is.JR said this was not a wrestling angle and it was not part of the story line.Cameras would never show what happened.I guess this would be just like when Sting comes down from the rafters,so when Owen did it,he fell.Ill keep you updated througout the rest of the ppv. Kevin kelly went to the back to interview JJ and Debra about their match.. JJ couldnt hardly do the interview and said we were praying for you Owen.
*JEFF JARRETT & DEBRA vs. VAL VENIS & NICOLE BASS:
Val powerslammed JJ.
Debra and Bass tagged in.Debra slaps Bass and jumps on her back.bass backs her up into the corner. Debra slams Bass' head into the turnbuckle. Debra and Bass tag out to JJ and Val. Val did a side russian leg sweep on JJ. Val did a front face slam on Val. Debra hit bass in the back of the head with a guitar,it didnt break.Bass ripped Debra's shirt off exposing her bra.Val came off the top with the money shot on JJ for the pin. Bass kissed Val and he liked it! Winners: Val Venis and Nicole Bass.
*No word on Owen hart yet.
*ROAD DOGG vs. MR. ASS:
*Before the match Kevin Kelly interviewed RoadDogg. Road Dogg talked about what he was gonna do to Billy Gunn but the first thing he said is that he was praying for Owen.
*Gunn threw RoadDogg out of the ring then threw him into the ring post.
Very slow paced match. Not a lot of action so far. Gunn did a neck breaker on RoadDog. RoadDog slammed Gunn face first to the mat. RoadDog did the shake rattle n roll and got a 2 count on Gunn. Gunn took the tape off one of the turnbuckles and clotheslined RoadDog with it. Gunn did the "fameasser" on RoadDog for the win. Winner: Billy Gunn
~8 MAN ELIMINATION MATCH~
*CORPRATE MINISTRY vs. THE UNION:
Viscera slammed Test for a 2 count.
Test dropkicked Viscera. Viscera did a belly to belly on Test. Bradshaw tagged in. Test clotheslines Bradshaw. Test powerslams Bradshaw for a 2 count. Test side slams Bradshaw then comes off the top with an elbow on him.Faaroq makes the save. Test is eliminated. Shamrock did a huricanrana on Bradshaw. Bradshaw taps out to the ankle lock submission.Bradshaw is eliminated. Viscera side slams Shamrock. Shamrock did a belly to belly suplex on Faaroq. Shamrock puts the ankle lock submission on Faaroq.Bossman helps Faaroq to the ropes.Ref breaks the hold.Shamrock gets pissed and belly to belly suplexes the ref. Shamrock is eliminated/dq. Wight chokeslams Faaroq for the 3 count. Faaroq is eliminated. Bossman tries to leave and Wight chases after him and brings him back into the ring. Viscera saves Bossman from getting chokeslammed. Wight chokeslams Viscera! Wight and Viscera are eliminated as they fight all the way to the back.
Bossman clotheslines Mankind for a 2 count. Mankind with a double arm ddt on Bossman. Mankind gets out socko and puts the mandible claw on Bossman.Bossman gives up. Winner: Mankind
*After the 8 man elimination match JR said he had the unfortunate duty to tell the fans that Owen hart has died after his fall.

*TRIPLE H vs. THE ROCK:
The ref disqualified HHH after HHH hit the ref.The Rock busted HHH open with a chair after the bell rang.The Rock put the Rock Bottom on HHH in the ring then layed a chair on HHH to do the peoples elbow on,as he went to do it Chyna grabbed Rocks foot,Rock turned away and HHH got up and hit him with a chair.Mankind came out for the save.
Winner: The Rock.
THE UNDERTAKER vs. "STONE COLD" STEVE AUSTIN:
Pat patterson took Vince's place as ref since Vince got hurt on Heat by Shane.
Before the bell rang and before Austin came out UT chokeslammed Patterson.
I'm sorry for the lack of details in these last 2 matches as it is somewhat hard to concentrate knowing that Owen is dead. Austin threw UT into Shane McMahon then Austin hit UT with a chair.Brisco came out with a ref shirt to make the count.Only a 2 count.
Vince comes down to the ring limping.
Austin hits the stunner on UT.Vince goes for the 3 count but Shane finally gets up and pulls him off.
UT is on top of Austin now and Shane makes a fast 3 count.
*Winner and new WWF champ: The Undertaker.

RAW is WAR Results: 06/21/99
|
*To begin the live Raw this week, Triple H and Chyna came to the ring. HHH grabbed the mic and called out the Undertaker right away. The Undertaker came to the ring and was stopped by the Corporate Ministry and Vince McMahon. Vince got the mic and said the fans want to see the Corporate Ministry break, and asked the fans if they wanted that. They screamed yes, but McMahon said that won't happen tonight, or any night. After talking them to stay back from each other, McMahon started to talk about this Sunday's King of the Ring. He said there that this Sunday, Chyna will become the queen of the ring, and the Undertaker will keep his title. Vince then talked about his and Shane's ladder match against Austin saying they'll put Austin at the bottom of the ladder, while they stand at top. McMahon said he will fall deafeat this Sunday. The glass hit and out came Stone Cold Steve Austin with a ladder. Austin climbed the ladder with a beer in hand, and told Vince and Shane that he acepts the match, and their @$$ belongs to him this Sunday. Austin then stated that he has added another stipulation to the match, where if any member of the Corporate Ministry come to the ring, they will be DQ'd, and Austin will win the match. McMahon said since they still own 25% of the WWF, he wants no holds barrded, so any member can come in. Shawn Micheals came out and said before he throws out some stipulations, he needs some coffe. Brisco and Paterson came out and handed Micheals some coffe. Micheals then announced that Austin will face any member of the Corporate Ministry this week, and if he wins, he decides the stipulations for the KOTR main event. And if any member of the Corporate Ministry interfears in this week's match, he gets 100% ownership of the WWF. Vince said the Undertaker will face him, but Micheals says he's already booked this week, as well as Triple H. Micheals announced that the Undertaker will defend the title against Triple H this week. Vince then decided to put the Bossman against Austin, and Micheals says he will be the special referee. Austin said he'll beat Bossman's @$$, and then all left, not before Micheals announced another match where Brisco and Paterson will face Vince and Shane later on! While the Corporate Ministry chased after Paterson and Brisco, Viceria was hit by Shamrock from behind!
~I.C. CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH~
*KEN SHAMROCK vs. TEST vs. JEFF JARRETT:
Shamrock came down to face Test, a match ordered by McMahon. Jeff Jarrett came down followed by Paterson and Brisco. Paterson got the mic and said this will be a triple threat match for the Intercontinental Title, Jeff Jarrett, Shamrock, and Test. During the match, Steve Blackman came down and striked Ken Shamrock with a kendo stick! Jarrett nailed Test into the ring posts, and jumped in the ring covering Shamrock to retain the title!
~THE ROCK vs. EDGE~
*The Rock came out to a great crowd responce to face Edge. The Rock got the mic first and said he'll go to the "the undertaker's learning tree and pick a stick and shove it up his candy@$$! Edge came through the crowd and entered the ring and the match began. After the Rock got the win, the Undertaker ran down and attacked his King of the Ring oppenent tombstoning the Rock to the canvas.
~GORILLA SLAM MATCH~
MARK HENRY vs. VISCERA:
*At one point, Viceria won the match after he got him up off the ropes. Viceria continued to hurt Henry until D'Lo Brown came down and helped Henry slam Viceria off the ropes! Minion came down and hit D'Lo and Henry with Shane's old European Title belt!
*JR announced that the Beaver Clevage/Meat contest will not take place because Beaver doesn't want to fight him.
*STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN vs.THE BIG BOSSMAN HBK AS REF:
If Austin wins, his no corporate ministry members at ringside stipulation will be, but if Bossman wins, Vince's no holds barrded stipulation will be. Minutes into the match, Vince and Shane brought out the corporate ladder. Austin chased them away and used the ladder on the Bossman. Later, Vince and Shane came back with the ladder and later Austin pushed Vince off the ladder making him land on the announce table! In the end, Austin used the Bossman's knight stick on his openennt and stunned him for the win! Vince and Shane were angry and left upset!
*Backstage during the break, the Corporate Ministry all attacked the Bossman for loosing the match.
*VAL VENIS vs. PRINCE ALBERT:
Val Venis came out to face Prince Albert. As Droz and Albert came out, Venis handcuffed both to the ring! Val opened their pearsing tools and put Val's name on Albert's ass!
~6 MAN TAG TEAM MATCH~
~TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH~
*X-PAC, ROAD DOGG & KANE vs. MR. ASS & THE ACYOLTES:
Before the match, X-Pac challenged them to put the tag titles up and Gunn got the mic and said that they accepted, but the Acolytes were'nt happy. In the end, Gunn hit X-Pac with his finisher and got the win. Gunn left with one of the tag titles while the Acolytes wondered why.
*On GTV backstage, Al Snow was seen "picking his nose & eating it!
~HARDCORE MATCH~
*THE BIG SHOW vs. HARDCORE HOLLY:
The Big Show Paul Wight came out to face Hardcore Holly. Holly came out and said he doesn't like the Big Show, and wants to make their match a hardcore match. Holly came down and the match started backstage! The match spilled outside. Wight through Holly into the wall, and shoved a small car over the edge which seemily hit Holly from under giving him the win!
*VINCE & SHANE vs. THE STOOGES:
Vince and Shane McMahon took on Paterson and Brisco in the next match. During the match, Ken Shamrock ran down and Vince ran. Shamrock got a hold of Shane and attacked him. Shamrock chased Vince back. Paterson and Brisco tried to cover Shane until the Mean Street Posse, with another big man, came to the ring and destroyed Paterson & Brisco!
~WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH~
*HHH vs. THE UNDERRTAKER:
In a match for the World Wrestling Federation Championship, the Undertaker defended against Triple H. During the match, the Undertaker's knee went out which gave HHH an advantage. At another point, Chyna tried to hit the Undertaker, but he blocked it. The Rock came down and delivered the Rock Bottom to the Undertaker. The Rock then called down a huge Rock symbol and tried to put him on it until the Corporate Ministry came down to attack. The Bossman came down and helped the Rock. The Corporate Ministry left and Paul Bearer was the one who had to be put on the symbol!! The Rock got the mic and said he'll win the title this Sunday as the show went off!

SuNDAY NiGHT HeAT Results: 06/20/99
|
*To kick off the show, Jim Ross conducted an interview with Chyna and Triple H. JR started to talk about Chyna's particpation at next Sunday's King of the Ring. Chyna said when she and the Road Dog get into the ring in the first round next Sunday, she will destroy the Road Dog and come in the end, she will be this year's "Queen of the Ring". Triple H then got the mic and said to everyone to not take Chyna lightly, because she can manly destroy you. JR then asked Triple H of what's going on between him and the Undertaker. HHH then stated that his goal is to win the WWF Championship and says weather the champion is the Rock or the Undertaker after the King of the Ring next Sunday, he wants a title shot, and says no one will stop him!
~FOUR CORNERS ELIMATION MATCHUP~
*KANE vs. THE BIG SHOW vs. KEN SHAMROCK vs.MR. ASS:
During the match while Kane and Wight were brawling at ringside, Hardcore Holly came down and striked both with a chair. Wight attacked, and Kane attacked, and all hell broke loose. Kane and the Big Show then were both counted out and were ordered to leave the ring. Left in the ring, Gunn fought Shamrock. During the contest, Micheal Cole announced that the winner of this elimation match will face the winner of the second elimation match later on. At one point, Shamrock snapped and hit the referee, which gave Badd Ass the win.
*JR interviewed the Undertaker next. The Undertaker said that next Sunday, he will destroy the Rock. JR then asked the Undertaker about Triple H's challenge. The Undertaker grabbed Ross and told him to watch how he talks because he doesn't want to come back out and hurt Ross, and said if Triple H wants to step into his yard, he'll find out who owns that yard.
*Backstage, D'Lo Brown and Mark Henry challenged Minion and Viceria to a "gorilla press-slam match" tomorrow night on Raw. Who ever press slams the other first, wins the match. Back in the ring, the Road Dogg came out and said if your not down with Daddy, he's got two words for ya!
~FOUR CORNER ELIMATION MATCH~
CHYNA vs. THE ROAD DOGG vs. X-PAC vs. HARDCORE HOLLY:
At one point, Triple H pedigreed X-Pac at ringside elimating X-Pac from the match!
Back from the break, Chyna grabbed a chair from HHH and hit the Road Dog and Hardcore Holly. Holly covered the Road Dog, then Chyna covered Holly making her the winner! Chyna will now face Badd Ass Billy Gunn next on Heat.
*Backstage, Val Venis said since Droz and Prince Albert pearsed his nose last Sunday on Heat, he wants Albert tomorrow night on Raw.
~MR. ASS vs. CHYNA~
*Gunn came down to face Chyna. Gunn "mooned" Chyna which lead to an attack by HHH. Triple H got out the ring and the match started. At ringside, HHH pedigreed Gunn allowing Chyna the win. HHH got in the ring to congrulate Chyna until the Undertaker came down and attacked Triple H. The Corporate Ministry came down and tried to break it all up as Heat went off the air.
